Fascinating Facts

Guinness 250th Anniversary

In 2009 will celebrate it’s 250th anniversary and where better to raise a glass to Arthur – the man who started it all, than at Guinness Storehouse - the Home of Guinness. A number of special celebrations are planned throughout the year to mark this important milestone in the life of Ireland’s most famous export and visitors to Guinness Storehouse will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to be at the heart of these festivities.

One important date for the diary will be the annual Guinness Storehouse ST Patrick's Festival (14 –17 March 2009). During the 2008 Festival, 52 acts with over 800 performers enthralled the massive crowds who visited the home of the black stuff over the three days. The 2009 Festival promises to be even bigger and better than ever with something to suit all tastes, including samba bands, American marching bands, gospel choirs, capoeira dancers, traditional Irish music, rock and blues musicians. This really is Dublin’s best kept secret and a “must see” visit during this period.
